Submissions due Saturday | February 1, 2014 Conference Dates | May 2-3, 2014 UCSD is pleased to announce an inaugural graduate student conference in feminist and queer of color critique, which will take place May 2-3, 2014. The conference seeks to open dialogue about the intersections of women of color feminism and queer of color critique. Graduate students from UCSD and elsewhere are invited to participate in our two day conference, with a keynote and a closing musical performance. We are honored to have Professor Sharon Holland from Duke University as our keynote speaker.

We often discuss the existence of multiple identities coexisting within a single person and the work required to have others recognize those multiple identities. Rarely do we discuss the work required to coordinate those identities within one's self. Please join fellow graduate students in an open dialogue facilitated by Dr. Doriane Besson (UCSD CAPS) as we discuss how we merge our racial, professional, scholarly, sexual, activist, gender...identities.

This internship will be a unique opportunity for a staff member to get direct experience in event planning for Chancellor's Office Diversity events such as: Black History Month, Cesar E.
