What is so compelling about zombies? Or rather, what do zombies say about our society? I ask this because it seems that this quarter, I have taken an interdisciplinary study of zombies. I am currently taking a diverse range of classes (Ethnic Studies, Cognitive Science, and Literature), and in every class, we have discussed zombies. While I once thought that zombies were meant to represent anxieties about the dead and about the end, my classes have now taught me to reframe my approach to zombies and see them as representative of feelings towards the living. - Read More
