Notions of representations, the idea that says, "Someone else has written your story." I have seen and engaged in the depth of the critique of mainstream, and its power to paint the portrait of others. Campus Black Forum
Wednesday | January 23rd | 5pm
Cross-Cultural Center Library
Campus Black Forum was started by Dr. Phil Rafael in the 1970's as a space in which students, faculty, staff and community members of African decent could come together in an informal setting to discuss issues impacting the African American community.
The topic of discussion will be racism in the classroom and we are hoping to have supportive faculty present who can participate in the conversation as students share experiences they've had at UCSD. Our hope is to validate students in their experiences and explore ways that they can effectively address these issues as they come up in the classroom.
