Mental Health issues have been and continue to be portrayed in a negative light where treatments typically pathologize those diagnosed. Rising from the Ashes seeks to artistically explore the complexities of what makes it difficult to talk about mental health issues. We will come together to challenge those notions and create a supportive space for community.

Sixth College Video Production Club will be holding the first of their quarterly Racialization in the Media Lecture Series for this academic year. This Fall, praCh ly, an internationally renown and award winning Cambodian rapper will be speaking. The lecture series was created to bring awareness and to educate about the power of popular media and how it can shape how people view race, gender, sexuality and other forms of intersectional identities.
