Breather Series: (Re)create and Decorate!

Join us at Cross-Cultural Center for the first Breather Series program of this quarter! We will be making bulletin boards to help keep you organized for this year, as well as, desk organizers out of cereal boxes and art supplies! In Your Shoes: A Social Justice L.E.N.S Dialogue on Abilities, Access, & the Environment
Friday | October 15 | 12-1pm Price Center West, Eleanor Roosevelt Room
How does the environment impact access and resources for persons with disabilities? Get some insights from Chancellor Fox and UC San Diego student, faculty, and staff participants as they share a glimpse of their experiences regarding access, social etiquette, and policies. Presenters will also share their observations as they partner with one another to reflect on disability perceptions, triumphs, challenges, and surroundings. For more info click here.

"Reel Injun" Film Screening & Discussion

"Reel Injun" takes entertaining and insightful look at the Hollywood Indian, exploring the portrayal of North American Natives through the history of cinema. Breather Series: Yoga Workshop
Friday | October 22 | 12-1pm Cross-Cultural Center Comunidad Genevieve Kim of the La Jolla Yoga Center ( www.lajollayogacenter.com) will be facilitating a free Vinyasa yoga workshop. Vinyasa Yoga: Breath & movement are linked through a series of sun salutations and asanas in this energizing and vigorous class. This moving meditation will strengthen your body, ease your mind, & connect you with your internal rhythm. If you have a yoga mat, please bring it and wear comfortable clothing.
