Welcome to Matrix cutover day!!! If you have been on our new Matrix MLS system working, taking a test drive or as one of our volunteer testers, the day you have been waiting for has finally arrived!
Today at noon, Fusion and MLXchange will forever go into 'Search Only' Mode which means we will no longer be updating or adding any listings there from here on in. Beginning at 9am or so tomorrow, Wednesday, September 7, we will all begin adding and editing listings in Matrix. Fusion and MLXchange will remain available until September 26 to search only and then will be permanently shut down.
This afternoon, CoreLogic will be copying over to Matrix all of your saved searches that have been added to MLX/Fusion since about July 5 that you don't see in Matrix yet. Your auto-emails from MLX/Fusion will automatically stop sending today at noon but you will need to manually activate them on Matrix if you haven't already. Learn more here.
Overall, there are 600,000+ individuals using Matrix across North America. Matrix is designed to be a speed machine. It is highly responsive and has a number of shortcuts that can assist you in managing your business efficiently. It is fully compatible with all browsers on your PC and/or MAC and is fully mobile. This means that you can also access Matrix™ from any smartphone or tablet!!

What to do now?
My Matrix, My Information
  • Before you start using Matrix, go to My Matrix, My Information in Matrix and double check all of your personal information and set up your email signature, CMA Cover page, Auto-email and Client Portal.  
  • Note - The settings in My Matrix, My Information will not change how information will appear in a listing. Contact your MLS if you need to change your info as it appears in your listings.

New Data Input Forms 

  • The new data input forms will be available this week.
  • There are many new field choices in the pick lists. The Commercial and Lots and Land forms also have many new fields.
  • The new forms are each an extra page long. This was in an effort to make them easier to read, accommodate expanded choices in several fields and provide a better match for the Add Listing process in Matrix.
  • This fall, you'll be able to fill out the data input form in Instanet, get it signed in Authentisign and then electronically send it over to Matrix as an incomplete listing (that you can add photos and attachments to) without having to enter the data manually. Stay tuned for details.

Check all your listings 

  • In Matrix, the fireplace fields will be totaled based on the way you fill out the individual fireplace fields such as #Gas, #Wood burning, etc.
    • If you didn't fill them in when the listing was entered in MLX/Fusion, the total will remain correct in Matrix until you edit the listing to change the price/status in Matrix.  At that time, Matrix will recalculate the Total #Fireplaces and if all of the individual Fireplace fields have zeros, your new total will be zero.
    • Go ahead and fill them in now if you didn't before in MLX/Fusion to avoid headaches later.
  • If you will accept text messages from other agents, that will need to be a part of your 'Agent' record in Matrix which only the MLS can change. If you have been in the habit of manually updating this field or any of your personal phone numbers or email address in MLX/Fusion when adding a listing, please contact your MLS asap and let us update your record or you will notice that your listings in Matrix likely say 'No' in the 'Accepts Text Messages' field and or have an incorrect phone number.  GRAR sent all members what we have on file for each licensee earlier today.
Turn on Auto Email
  • Your saved searches will display in Matrix™ and be attached to your Contact in the Client Portal.
  • If you have saved any new searches in MLX/Fusion since July 5, they will be available in Matrix on the morning of September 7.
  • Each 'Saved Search Auto Email' will need to be made Active on a search-by-search basis in Matrix.
    • This can be done prior to cutover if desired.  Remember to deactivate your auto-emails in MLX/Fusion to avoid double alerting your clients.
    • Or wait to activate in Matrix after cutover and the MLX/Fusion auto-emails will stop sending on September 6.  Your choice.

Add/Edit Notes
  • When adding a listing, enter in the List Agent Public ID and then click on 'Refresh' to fill in the data.  You cannot save as 'Incomplete' without the Listing Agent filled in.
  • Required fields are yellow.
  • After adding listing data, you may click on 'Validate' to see if you have entered everything correctly per the MLS rules or 'Save as Incomplete' to finish later.
  • Photos and Supplements - After your listing has been saved as incomplete, you may add photos and/or supplements. Don't forget to go back and make the listing Active when done.
  • Only those with Office Manager access level and above will see the 'Opt-Out' tab of the listing during Add/Edit.  This section will be used to opt individual listings out of Realtor.com or Zillow, if needed on an individual listing (only if the brokerage has opted in).
