REALTORŪ Centennial
100 years ago, the trademark "REALTORŪ" was adopted to identify the members of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORSŪ: a revolutionary group of individuals deeply committed to integrity, community, and protecting the American dream of property ownership. A century later, time and technologies may have changed the industry and how business is conducted, but our members' strong ideals, commitment to go the extra mile, and their REALTORŪ pride haven't.
Join us this year in celebrating our history, our future, and our REALTORSŪ.

Fair Housing Enforcement Initiative for NYS
Gov. Cuomo has created a Fair Housing Enforcement Program intended to uncover discrimination in rental and home sale transactions using trained fair housing "testers" with diverse racial, gender, and economic backgrounds. The initiative will also include investigations of real estate agents, owners and landlords who are all prohibited from discriminating in the rental or sale of housing in New York State.

At the Governor's direction, the Department of State will develop detailed guidance informing industry professionals of the new regulations and their obligations under law.
The agency will also move to revoke the license of any real estate broker or salesperson that has been found to have engaged in discriminatory conduct.
