ECONOMISTS BLAME BABY BOOMERS FOR HOUSING CLOG
Freddie  Mac's chief economist Sean Becketti  says Baby Boomers' reluctance to switch houses is causing imbalances leading to shortages of homes for sale and rising prices that affect businesses and prospective owners.  Lawrence Yun, chief economist for the National Association of REALTORS�, told The Washington Post that the lingering effects of the housing crisis and the Great Recession may be the reason why more baby boomers are postponing their moves. The real estate industry is a key contributor to the economy and its stability is vital as markets continue to recover. That is why it is so important fo  all REALTORS� to be aware and actively involved in advocating for legislation that improves the homebuying/selling experience and strengthens our business.
Issues in focus include:
Legislation requiring two hours of agency-related coursework in a licensee's initial two-year licensing term as part of the 22.5 hours of CE required for renewal of a real estate license 
Initiation of a NYS first-time home buyer savings program

more than 197,000 REALTORS that took action to Stop Congress From Taking Money From Future Homeowners. President Obama signed into law the Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act (FAST Act), WITHOUT using G-Fees as a financing mechanism!
