Instanet Forms Update Tonight
Instanet is adding a new feature they like to call the "Document Slicer". They've heard from many users that they often have single PDF files that contain multiple documents, which they want to be able to "slice" into separate documents. The Slicer allows users to manage the pages of a PDF within TransactionDesk/DocBox - saving selected pages to another PDF/document, deleting unwanted pages, etc.
Users will now be able to do this with virtually any PDF document that is in a Transaction or in the Documents/DocBox sections of the system.
Along with the Slicer, they have made an important update to another PDF management tool, the Document Markup tool. The Document Markup feature allows users to various tools, such as a text tool, line tool, freehand draw tool and highlighter, to markup PDF documents. Previously this was available only for Windows PC users. This new version works on virtually any popular device and browser combination, now allowing people to markup documents on Macs, tablets, and smart phones, as well as PCs. A document with instructions and screen shots is attached. Here is a link to a video on the tools as well.

Importance of Status Changes in MLS:
|
Tips for Pending Listings; Why Listings Need to be Moved to Pending if not Being Shown
Did you know that one of the most common complaints that we get from our members and their clients is about listings that are still in as active but are not being shown? Here are some benefits of changing the status and rules to go with them: - When a property goes into Pending status, the DOM stops tallying..that is a BIG Plus.
- Changing to Pending if no longer showing, not only follows MLS rules, but also saves time for both the Listing
- Agent/Showing Service and the party that is trying to show it by not making or receiving unnecessary communications about the property.
- If you are no longer showing it, make sure to let your Showing Service know this too - very common complaint. Then move it to Pending.
- If the transaction falls through and the Pending listing gets changed back to Active, this gives it much more exposure than a listing that has been sitting in Active while you wait for a closing. It comes back into auto-notification refreshed as an Active Listing.
Note: According to the Code of Ethics, Standard of Practice 3-6 - RealtorsŪ shall disclose the existence of accepted offers, including offers with unresolved contingencies, to any broker seeking cooperation. Using the MLS statuses properly, to disclose, will meet this requirement. Tips for Sold Listings; Why Listings need to be Changed to SoldDid you know we also receive complaints that a property is still Pending in MLS when it has closed?
- Changing a listing to Sold enables members to use them as Comps.
- Counts towards agent award reports (certain prop types).
- Keeps MLS data clean and accurate
Thank you in advance for changing the status your listings when applicable. Questions? Contact Member Services at GRARHelpDesk@grar.net or 585-292-5000
