Get Ready for Matrix
|
GRAR is pleased to announce that the NYSAMLS's recently voted to begin the process of implementing our next generation MLS system. Our team will begin work early next year in anticipation of delivering a new MLS system sometime in the 3rd quarter. Between now and the end of the year, please send your suggestions to GRARHelpDesk@grar.net about any field changes or report changes we would like to see in the new system. Matrix has been very well received in many large MLS's and is known to be extremely fast. It places equal emphasis on performance and functionality and will save time and make you more efficient. Best of all, Matrix works with virtually all computer operating systems, web browsers, and mobile devices, so you will be free to work where and how you want. Stay tuned for more as we know more.

Advertising Guidelines Apply to Craigslist Posts
|
Craigslist posts are required to comply with DOS advertising regulations, which means that you have to have your full licensed name, license type, broker's name and office phone number or address. Don't put yourself at risk with a DOS or Code of Ethics violation with advertising practices that are not up to code. Article 12 of the Code Of Ethics states: REALTORS® shall be honest and truthful in their real estate communications and shall present a true picture in their advertising, marketing, and other representations. REALTORS® shall ensure that their status as real estate professionals is readily apparent in their advertising, marketing, and other representations, and that the recipients of all real estate communications are, or have been, notified that those communications are from a real estate professional.

Tips for Contacting Answerlink on Weekends
|
You may know that AnswerLink is open 7 days a week to support MLXchange and Fusion. What you may not know is that they do not support other MLS's on the weekend. Our contract allows for support Mon-Fri from 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM and from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM on Sat/Sun. To be sure you call goes through on the weekend, be sure your caller ID is not blocked on your phone before calling so they can see where you are calling from. Check with your provider to see how to temporarily disable your privacy block such as *82 before dialing the number.

Authentisign Upgraded Last Month
|
All AuthentiSign users are now accessing Authentisign2Go, the newest version of Authentisign. This is the same version that automatically displays on mobile devices and many users had already chosen to use it, by using the version toggle that has been inside Authentisign "Classic" for several months.
Instanet Solutions also recently announced that we have been upgraded to the new InstanetForms HTML5 version from the 'Classic' version. This new version has been in production and available for more than a year and is already used every day by more than 100,000 users. We migrated to these newer versions for many reasons. Here are some of the highlights:
- Speed - the new version of InstanetForms is much faster to load and display forms.
- Available Everywhere on Anything - the new version of InstanetForms is designed to not only work on all PCs and MACs but also on any commonly used device/browser combination including tablets and smartphones - No downloads or apps required.
- Support - the new version of InstanetForms does not rely on the Adobe Reader/Acrobat and it's ever changing default settings. End users will have fewer problems and won't call you (or us) for support as often.
- User Experience - users will now have the same forms editor appear no matter what device they are using.
- Built with Tomorrow in Mind - It is a modern, responsive HTML5 UI (User Interface) that has more features (e.g., launch Authentisign right from the editor) and will also allow for more integrations and new features in the future.

Attention Mac Users Still Using CoreLogic IDS Solution
|
The Information Delivery System (IDS) setup in 2010 as a server based solution that allowed Mac users access to programs that require running on a Windows computer (i.e., MLXchange). With the availability of Fusion, Mac users no longer require the usage of IDS to access their Association system. Reminder, as a result on Tuesday, October 28th, 2014 CoreLogic will shut down the IDS environment. This has been posted to IDS users since mid August.
