GRAR ANNUAL ELECTION
Ballots were emailed to all REALTORŪ members on Friday, September 12th for the annual election to fill the two vacant seats on the GRAR Board of Directors. In addition, this year we are submitting updated and re-stated GRAR Bylaws for the approval of the membership. If you did not receive a ballot, please contact Karen Herbst (kherbst@grar.net). The bios of the three candidates for the GRAR Board of Directors can be found here. Also, please review the Executive Summary of the Bylaws changes and the complete document of the proposed GRAR Bylaws. If you have any questions concerning the Bylaws, please contact Jodi Johnson (jjohnson@grar.net). Results will be announced on Monday, October 6th.
DUES LATE FEES APPLIED
The second payment of the divided dues option ($430 for MLS Fees, payable to GENRIS) was due no later than Tuesday, September 9. A $50 late fee has been assessed to delinquent accounts. PAY ONLINE HERE.

The final divided dues installment of $245 (NYSAR/NAR portion) is due by November 1.

YRN Cell Phone Collection for CharityThe Young REALTORSŪ Network is collecting cell phones to be donated to domestic violence centers. Each NYSAR region will be competing to see who can collect the most. The region that collects the most phones will be spotlighted in a future issue of New York State REALTORŪ magazine. Read More ELIMINATION OF FHA "PREPAYMENT PENALTY" Late last month, the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) issued its final rule to eliminate post-payment interest charges on FHA-insured single family mortgages. NAR has urged FHA and Ginnie Mae to remove this prepayment penalty for years as the policy placed an unreasonable burden on consumers who already face high housing and closing costs.
