FAQ

Q: Must the elevator and stairs be located in the same area?

A:  ADAAG Section 206.3 requires accessible routes to "coincide with or be located in the same area as general circulation paths."  The ADAAG advisory states: "accessible vertical interior circulation must be in the same area as stairs and escalators, not isolated in the back of the facility."
