Holiday Shopping Card

Vol 7, Issue 14

Oct 2013

Flowing designs in mixed metal jewelry
Yes!  This artist's work is back in stock.  For the best selection, stop in either location before we sell out. Vanessa specializes in pendant necklaces with matching earrings, however, they can be purchased separately.  She works in copper, brass and sterling silver and combines them for the greatest design interest.

Her semi-precious stones and sparkly crystals are better than ever.  See our
selection on the website.

  Clocks with great design elements

We have waited a long time to be able to bring you this artist's work.  Fused glass and metal are combined for pleasing artistic expression.  We also have vases to select from to compliment the room setting.

Larger photos can be seen here.  All pieces at our Post Oak location for now.

Holiday Shopping Card accepted at both locations

Bring your gift list in and take advantage of The Holiday Shopping Card for a 20% discount.  Present the card and know you are supporting a worthy cause.  This annual event is planned by Victory, the fundraising branch of the American Cancer Society.  Our gift to you is the discount.  (Juried shows and already reduced pieces are not included.) Read more about this popular shopping spree.
Effective dates are this Thursday, Oct 24th-Nov 3rd.

Own The Endeavor (in wood)
We have just received our Christmas order of these exotic wood puzzle boxes.  All of the interesting themes have a hidden "key" in order to take it apart.  Each also has a small storage area which is a perfect place to hide a surprise.

Photo shows progressive steps and the interior of the box.  See our offerings here.

 Halo earrings in niobium

We haven't featured this artist's work for several years, but isn't it different?

Kieth works in niobium with  vermeil accents.

See more unusual colorings and styles here.

"Bottoms Up"

This unusual wine caddy gives new meaning to being able to hold your wine. It is just part of our collection of bookends, loving couples and family sculptures that this artist makes.

Scarves with character

These hand loomed scarves have a beautiful chenille texture and contrast trim.  It is a real pleasure to find this American handcrafted beauty.  Buy this for the discerning lady who really knows quality.

The artist designed the trim so that nothing would be left over.  She wanted to be more eco-friendly.  See our other colors here.

Nutcracker Market has theme of Candy Cane Lane!

Wine journals for the serious
wine lover

Celebrating their mutual appreciation of wine, Mary (the artist) and Dave (the bookmaker) have created this pen and book set.

Rate your next wine for flavor and nose, and note where you found it in this Wine Journal. Two 33 page booklets and a refillable pen should last a long time.

Crushed grape skins give both color and texture to the resin of Mary's pens. Dave adds a few drops of Pinot Noir to the cover inks of the books.

Enjoy!

Check out the beer journals as well.

"Houston Clay by ClayHouston"
Show continues through Oct 26th

To celebrate American Craft Week, both locations hosted clay demonstrations in front of their store.  Isabella Willmann is getting some pointers for slab-built construction from Cynthia Wisner.  Click clay show and see all the juried pieces as well as which ones had winning awards.
