Thank you to everyone participating in our new Tuesday morning and
Thursday night Knit-A-Long! The KAL is more popular than we ever thought. It is so exciting to see everyone making progress on their shawls and comparing colors and yarns along the way. Some participants are almost finished! The next shawl we will be knitting is Lycopod (that's it on the cover). It using the same techniques that we learned for Cinder, so there's no need for a new class. The idea of the KAL is to knit at whatever pace you like - there is no time limit!
If you are interested in joining the KAL, give us a call at 330-726-4766 or stop by any Tuesday morning from 10:30 - 12:30 or Thursday evening from 6 - 8 to see what it's all about. You can begin with Cinder or jump right in with Lycopod. If we have a number of new attendees who would like a class, we'll be happy to schedule one. |
Curls are marvelously flexible, wearable wraps that work with any weight of yarn, can be knit at any gauge, and look beautiful at any size. Knit them small and wear them as a cowl. Keep going to make a scarf. Do a bit more, and you've got a shawl. They form a wonderfully curved shape that drapes beautifully around your neck and shoulders and can be worn in lots of different ways.
