New Book from Nicky Epstein

Knitting on Top of the World is a world tour of knitting traditions and techniques, with more than 50 new designs. Nicky details the origin and use of classic knitting techniques-Fair Isle, applique, Aran and more-in folk knitting traditions around the globe, then reinvigorates and recombines these techniques in her own inimitable way to create all new, innovative designs and traditions. 248 pages.

Fix It or Frog It

Bring your languishing unfinished objects (UFOs) to The Flaming Ice Cube's Fix It Or Frog It! We'll work our way through whatever issues are plaguing the project and decide together if it should be fixed or frogged.

This event is just $15 - and dinner is included! We're featuring the Dijon Chick'n from our new dinner menu, served with quinoa and a side salad, plus a slice of our amazing Peanut Butter Pie, along with a complimentary glass of wine, if you'd like!

Any project that has been abandoned partway through is fair game! Be prepared to tell us what it was supposed to be, and why it was left behind. For example: "This was supposed to be a sweater, made from a bulky superwash wool, on size 11 needles. I started it in 2010. I put it aside because the sleeves needed a time out! They wouldn't behave properly!"

Then we'll decide if it should be fixed - or frogged to become something new. Sign up for a private lesson and receive a 20% discount off our usual private lesson rates!

Call The Flaming Ice Cube at 330-726-4766 to register for this event on Friday, October 24 from 6 - 8pm, hosted by Melinda.
