Hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather!  We have lots of new knitting books, classes, and even some new yarns this week.  This Saturday we are having a four-hour Entrelac workshop that Michele is teaching from 1 to 5pm.  The workshop is a great deal - each attendee will receive a copy of Gwen Bortner's best-selling book Entree to Entrelac!

Our two-part Basic Knit Hat class begins this Thursday evening at 6pm.  If you would like to learn to knit in the round, this is the class for you.  more info...

Knitting 101 on Wednesday is full.  Next available class is Wednesday, September 3.

Building in color Group A meets this Saturday from 10am until noon.  We will be starting panel #5. 
Entrelac Workshop is this Saturday!
Join Michele for this four-hour workshop where you will learn the basics of entrelac knitting as you make a coffee sleeve from the book Entree to Entrelac. 
We will go over the structure of entrelac, yarn selection, how to knit the different components, and even knitting in both directions. Book and yarn are included in class fee, so all you need to bring are US9 double point needles and and your eagerness to learn!
BONUS: You will receive a cowl pattern at the end of class that you can knit using the techniques that you just learned.

New Two-session Brioche Class

One touch is all it takes to fall in love with reversible brioche fabric.  Learn the basics of this textured technique as you knit two sample swatches.  You'll learn the "rules" of brioche knitting, as well as all of the individual stitches and techniques you need to create this inviting combination of stitches, increases, decreases, two-color Italian cast-on, syncopated brioche, and more!.  Michele will demonstrate both English and continental techniques.

Please bring :

  • 2 contrasting colors of worsted weight or heavy worsted weight yarn (I like Simpliworsted by HiKoo.  Leftovers from Building Blocks is fine)
  • US 6 circular or double point needles
