New Session of Building Blocks to begin Next Wednesday evening

This is one of our most popular classes, and for good reason! Building Blocks was created to move the new knitter beyond the basics by introducing the major knitting techniques in a systematic approach. Each block builds upon the skills of the previous block, allowing the knitter to gain confidence and knowledge while working toward a beautiful sampler afghan (or two baby blankets). If you can knit and purl, this is the class to give you a well rounded foundation of pattern reading and knitting skills so you gain the confidence to tackle more projects.

Melinda will be teaching the new Mermaid Shawl class, a very simple and very quick pattern using 3 skeins of Malabrigo Rasta and US Size 35 needles. The class is only $10 and is scheduled for this coming Monday (Jan. 13th) from 3 to 4:30. You can register online or call The Flaming Ice Cube at 330-726-4766.

This Friday we will be viewing Knits of Yore, part 2. Movie is free, but please give us a call if you plan to attend, so we can notify you if we have to cancel due to weather or other. Then learn something new, enjoy some popcorn, of just sit and knit!

New Felted Slippers Class begins February 18 at 6pm

 Michele will be teaching this 3-session class designed to give students experience with a variety of versatile knitting techniques. This slipper's interesting and practical construction begins with Judy's magic cast on and has absolutely zero seams! We will go over Judy's magic cast on, picking up stitches, kfb, short rows, wrap and turn, slip stitches, adding a second color to your knitting, and binding off loosely as students learn to knit and felt pair of adorable slippers. ~ Learn More / Register Online ~ |
