~Happy St. Patrick's Day (aka: Happy 3rd Birthday to my Grandson Zan!) and Also Happy Easter!~
This month is full of hapiness this year! Green Beer, Cake and Cadbury Caramel Eggs!
Once again, I have procrastinated to the last minute in getting this newsletter written and scheduled to launch so that all my clients can have it on the first of the month. I have valid excuses this time....I was busy catching up on doing my 2012 books so I can get my income taxes done on time for next month --see I was procrastinating all last year and didn't do any of it! And I am pleased to report that I am almost finished with them.
I would like to share a story with you. According to my brother, I did not learn to walk until I was two years old. I have always had episodes of questionable coordination and tendencies to be on the clutsy/clumsy end of the scale. As I got older I had hopes that I would out-grow this "stage" of awkwardness and develop a little bit of grace. Well..... this did not happen. I still fall down for apparently no good reason all by myself. I did this again on Valentine's Day. I severely sprained my left foot at the 3rd, 4th and 5th metatarsals, dislocated the 4th and 5th toes and strained the anterior tibialis ligament at the ankle. I thought I for sure broke it. The pain was magnificent. But I didn't....I just wish I had because maybe the pain would not be so spectacular had it broken instead of sustained so much ligament and tendon damage. Anyway...here's what I want to share with you: I employed all the standard first aid procedures to my foot. Pull the bones straight, stabilize the injured area, elevate the injured limb, apply ICE. I wore an ace bandage and kept my leg in a medical walking boot for a week to the point I was experiencing calf spams in both legs, the hamstring in the left leg was in agony and the hamstring in the right leg was in full blown rebellion. Those walking boots cause more body aches and pain than the original injury! After a week, I could not deal with the overload of aches and pain. I was spending so much energy on dealing with PAIN in my body. It is truly exhausting! It makes one live life on the edge of crabbiness! I removed the boot. The foot's swelling was down enough so that I could now wrap it with the stretchy medical tape and shove the foot into my running shoe and walk very gingerly as normal as I could. I also went to get chiropractic treatments to get my foot, leg, hips and back into the proper alignment from wearing and walking in that boot. Aaaaaaaaaaah! It felt good. Then, I started to employ a different kind of therapy to my foot. I massaged it as often as I could and for as deep as the pain would allow me to tolerate it. And I received massage therapy from an LMT to do more of the same of what I was doing for my foot. I have sustained many sprains and severe ligament/tendon damage injuries all my life and the standard care that has always been done was stabilize it and stay off of it for 6 weeks, then begin the rehab. This takes a long time. I have things I need to do. Being self-employed as YOUR massage therapist, I do not have the luxury of staying off my foot. I have been using my injured left foot as a guinea pig. I keep it wrapped for stability, but not rigid. I use a foot spa that has a vibration mode. This vibration stimulates the injured ligaments and tendons and calms the nerve pain. And of course I still use ice. ICE is the best friend to injuries like this. I am also using my essential oils to assist the damage tissues to heal. But the massage is what is astounding me the most. It has moved the hematomas out quickly, restored full range of motion (albeit a slow and cautious range of motion) and the ability to use the foot as normal as possible in almost all scenarios. All this recovery inside of two weeks so far! I LOVE MASSAGE! It is not going to take me 6 weeks to rehab my foot this time. Massage is excellent for injury rehab. And....I know how to do this for you! ♥

Essential oils may help you with a wide range of concerns regarding your health and is not limited to massage therapy treatments. (although I personally think receiving essential oil treatments via a massage is the most pleasurable venue of health care.) Essential oils provide everyday health and well-being for the whole family!
I alwa ys have Raindrop Treatments available. These are good for more than just keeping the cold and flu germs in check. The Original Raindrop Treatment is excellent for exhaustion, fatigue, feeling blue or a little run-down and have been proven to be an excellent pre-surgery treatment. Original Raindrop Treatment the day before a scheduled surgery will help you with the post surgery recovery, you will not be nausious from the anesthesia (you'll have actually taken less of this than expected) your pain after the surgery will be less, your healing time will be faster. So, by all means, do treat yourself to feeling great!
Boost your immune system this month! Book an appointment to come get an Original Raindrop Technique Aromatherapy session or a regular massage with a Raindrop Add-on! For colds and flu try an Original Raindrop Technique aromatherapy massage. Schedule your appt. to come in for an Original Raindrop Technique massage or just ask to have your already scheduled massage up-graded with an O.RT add-on! I promise....you will be feeling 100% better by the morning after this O.RT and on your way to being completely well.
I do wish to post a reminder here that if you are experiencing any cold or flu like symptoms a few days before or the day of your scheduled massage, please call me and let me know. I would very much prefer that you stay home and get well rather than exposing healthy people to the virus.... Unless, of course you wish to request a Raindrop Treatment (RT) add -on to your massage! This is an excellent way to naturally boost your immune system for prevention of colds and flu. Raindrop Treatments have also been advantageous in helping to reduce symptoms and duration of colds and flu after you already catch them. (personal experience: the next day, you are all well! --no more suffering for weeks and weeks!)
NOTE: If you have a fever, it is recommended that you reschedule your massage appt. Wait for your fever to pass and then come in for your Raindrop Treatment.
I will also be diffusing air purifying essential oils in the massage room for all of our protection.
I have available, the Young Living explanation of Raindrop Therapy at websites: WhiteDragonTherapies and EssentialEverydayOils . If you are interested, I have a Raindrop Therapy Disclosure Packet available for your ease of reference that lists all the essential oils used, why they are used and what other additional health benefits they may provide along with any contraindications for these oils. My goal is helping you get healthy and stay healthy!

P.S. This newsletter is a monthly promotional featuring the current special I might be offering, letting you know about any new services or products being offered, and making announcements of anything new at White Dragon Therapies. I also like to feature news about current health issues. This E- newsletter is usually sent out on the first of each month. Although, there has been the rare occasion where I send out a special second newsletter during the month. This newsletter is not the same as my more often "e-blast" where additional massage discounts and specials of the week or other announcements are featured.
If you do not wish to receive these newsletters, please use the "safe unsubscribe" feature at the bottom of this page. I am paying to use Constant Contact to help me provide and deliver this newsletter to you. Constant Contact is permission only based email. I respect and value your privacy and I ask that you please do not click the spam button on your computer to discontinue receiving these newsletters. If I get too many spam notices on my account, Constant Contact will discontinue my membership. I thank you for your co-operation in this very serious matter.
