Gracious God, My Creator, Source of All Good,
I honor You, this morning, and sing your praises.
I give thanks for this day.
I give thanks for yet one more opportunity to make my life a demonstration of Your Word.
I give thanks this day for yet one more opportunity to surrender everything that I have allowed to stand in Your Way.
I give thanks this day for all the lessons I have learned and for those that will come my way.
I count each one as a divine stepping stone to embracing who You created me to be.
I give thanks this day because I acknowledge that so many did not make it to this day.
I give thanks this day because we who are here have new opportunities to make bold and powerful declarations about who we are, who we were called to be and what gifts we were called to share.
I give thanks this day for all of my teachers, all of my Mamas and Babas, all of my mentors, all of my sistahs and brothas who have stood with me through my moments of doubt, fear, indecision and long periods of procrastination.
I give thanks this day for the talents that I have allowed to remain dormant.
I give thanks this day for the vision that I have allowed to become stagnant without giving it energy to thrive.
I give thanks this day knowing that the vision is still alive within me and that all I need do is acknowledge it, embrace it and take at least one step today in its direction - and then rinse and repeat tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow.
Knowing that no-thing is promised except Your Love, Your Grace, Your Wisdom . . . all of Your Good; I give thanks this day for this divine moment and commit to living in the now.
And, I ask myself "what can I do this day to be a blessing?"
"Who can I be this day to be a demonstration?"
"What gifts can I share this day that will matter in someone's life?"
Thank You, God, for this day. Thank You for this day.
Thank You for this day.
And So It Is. Amen and Amen.
