It isn't about winning...it never has been. It's about hard work, commitment, fair-play, fun and friendships. LMSC Boys U11 Navy team knows that very well. Most of the boys have played together for 3-4 years in the Lamorinda Soccer Club's Competitive program. Starting at a young age - under 8, they learned and practiced the technical soccer skills needed to execute the possession strategy that Lamorinda is famous for. The rewards of fun and friendship and the passion of soccer have kept these players coming back, despite having won only 2 league games last year. Hard work yields rewards. This team has had an outstanding season so far. This year their overall record is 15-2-1.
Currently, they are sitting in 1ST place in Nor-Cal gold's division, with a 9-0 record including a 21 goal differential! They placed 2nd in two northern California fall tournaments. The game belongs to the children who play it. It's for the love of the game....Win or Lose. |
