MIDWEST PREMIERE: RUBY DEE DOCUMENTARY
For more than a half century, audiences have been mesmerized by the love story between Hollywood legends Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee. Now, their grandson, Muta'Ali Muhammad, unearths the foundation of this unbreakable bond in the documentary "Life's Essentials with Ruby Dee." UW-Parkside hosts its Midwest premiere on Feb. 17 in celebration of Black History Month. Muta'Ali Muhammad will be attending the event. The documentary is considered a "once-in-a-lifetime account of love, art, and activism" from an iconic film star.

WILMOT MOUNTAIN FUN
On any given day, you may find upwards of 65 inches of snow on the ground in the Kenosha Area this winter. If you're at Wilmot Mountain, that is. This is the place "where every day is a snow day", as its staff says. A recent look on Wilmot Mountain's website showed the snow base was 35 to 65 inches for snowboarding and downhill skiing. Over in the Snow Tubing Area, a new, second conveyor lift means there's less waiting and more riding, while the area's brand new lodge is a place to warm up with a food item or beverage in hand. Catch some rays out on the sun deck!
