November is National Adoption Month, a collective effort to raise awareness of the children in foster care who are waiting to receive forever families. At STARRY we've seen the smiles on children's faces when they find a forever family. It reminds us of our own adoption by our heavenly Father.
"He predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will." (Ephesians 1:5) The Hay family (pictured above) has taken care of their three year old grandson, Drake, for most of his young life and were recently able to make his adoption official. A Note from ToddIt's the holiday season and lots of things come to mind. Foremost is blessing. We all have so much to be thankful for and this time of the year focuses those thoughts unlike any other time. The book of Lamentations, as the name implies, has an author who laments his circumstances in life. Yet he speaks of his hope in Lamentations 3:22-23: "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
