Her future was anything but bright. Even as a preschooler, Macy was already behind children her own age. But when she came to Children At Heart Ministries through STARRY's Foster Care and Adoption Program, everything changed.

On July 27, Texas Baptist Children's Home Family Care program celebrated their 34th reunion. Children, mothers, and friends returned to the campus to celebrate their time there and the lives they now lead because of it.

 Not long ago, my family was driving across northwestern Arkansas returning from vacation. We had been away for about a week, had a good time, enjoyed family time together and with great friends, had relaxed, were enjoying the beautiful views of the Ozark Mountains and the surrounding state park as we drove home down the highway. And then it happened. On one of the steep inclines going up the Interstate, our car suddenly lurched forward and the tachometer went extremely high and yet the car lost power. What had been a wonderful family time away suddenly took on another focus.
