For the staff at STARRY, the April 17 fertilizer plant explosion in West was a national story that unfolded in their backyard. It continues to be part of their lives, with no end in sight and memories abundant.

When news of the devastating explosion broke, STARRY counselors from Temple and Waco immediately made themselves available at the West shelters, working alongside mental health responders who were on the scene. 
  
   
Often college students have parents or family members they can call on for help when financial emergencies arise.

But for students like Chris, the only family they can turn to is their TBCH family. And we want to be there when they need us. 
  

Roadblocks come in all sizes and shapes. Some slow you down while others grind you to a halt.

Not all barriers or roadblocks are the same, and I am not trying to equate the seriousness of one barrier to another. However, the net impact on the individual is no less regardless of the barrier.
