RE: CBR's by Request

The Comparative Billing Reports (CBR) is a CMS project that shares aggregated claims data with health care providers. These reports target an area identified by CMS as a billing vulnerability. About 5,000 reports are disseminated during each release cycle which means not every provider in the nation receives a report.

Over the course of the CBR project, CBR Services has received many requests from Chiropractors wanting to receive a CBR. In response, a simplified mechanism has been devised to produce CBRs by Request. These revised reports follow the methodology used in CBR023 (Chiropractic Services) that was released this past February and provided data concerning dates of service January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011. However, the reports do not include state and national averages. Hence, no comparisons are made between the individual Chiropractors and the state or national averages.   For state and national averages, the Chiropractor is directed to the Interactive Map on the CBR Services website at www.cbrservices.com.

If you are a Chiropractor interested in receiving your CBR report, please fill out the request form found here CBR By Request Form and return by email to cbr.support@hp.com. Please be advised, that the request must match what is on file with the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES).

Thank you for your interest in this project. Please contact CBR Services directly at (530) 896-7080 if you have questions or by email at cbr.support@hp.com. All requests will be processed within 30 days. Further information can be found on the CBR Services website at www.cbrservices.com.

Disclaimer: Due to contract limitations, CBRs may not be available for all providers. You will be notified if we are unable to process your request.
