Updates

The July LCD Updates have been published.
The CERT A/B Task Force Introduction has been published.
The summary for the Would Your Nursing Documentation Support Medicare Hospice Coverage teleconference held on July 9, 2013 has been published.
The Reporting Site of Service Codes for Home Health Care Billing Guide has been published.
This notice is to inform providers that the Medicare Part A Electronic Remittance Advices generated on or after August 5,2013 will no longer include service line payment information (2110 loops) on inpatient claims. Based on instruction in the 5010 835 Health Care Claim Payment/Advice TR3, the 2110 LOOP IS not supported for inpatient claims.

All claim adjustment information will be reported in the claim adjustments segments (CAS) at the claim level in loop 2100 (Claim Payment Information). If providers have an automated process for posting inpatient Part A claims, a change may be required on your part to accept the modified remittance advice. The removal of 835 loop is applicable to inpatient claims, type of bill 11x; Skilled Nursing Facility claims, types of bill 18x, 21x, 28x and 51x; and Religious Non-Medical Hospital claims type of bill 41x.
