The Nature of Things
Every Sunday during February at The Chapel on Common Ground, Reverend Glenda and Reverend Judy invite us to join them as they explore the essential spiritual teachings of the Christian tradition, variations of which happen to be found within the teachings of many major religious traditions.
The sacred texts and 'good books' of all religions contain wisdom, lessons and instructions for navigating the human condition; our relationships with one another, care of the planet, soul growth.
The Christian tradition is no exception.
The Revs will help us dig deeper into some of the core Christian ideas presented through parables, stories and lessons.
Together we will ask: "What is the deeper meaning of the stories; the Good Samaritan; the lilies of the field, casting pearls before swine, loving thy neighbor, having faith like a mustard seed, throwing the first stone, and others?"
This is a perfect opportunity to re frame and revisit ideas that have great value in spiritual terms when taken at a deep personal level beyond a dogmatic interpretation.
Those who are ready to expand the boundaries of understanding to embrace the personal and spiritually relevant meanings behind these useful stories will want to join us each Sunday.
Everyone is welcome, invited and included.
Come as you are. As you are is perfect.
