ACTION AND RESPONSIBILITY

Common Ground is pleased to join the global community in focusing on the importance of doing our part to help create a sustainable planet. During the month of April we will celebrate Earth Day.

We will bring attention to the idea that, at this moment in time, nothing is more important than setting forth a narrative that helps create a new worldview where hope, social justice, peace and a sense of the sacredness of life prevails.

We will work together to cultivate an understanding that includes honoring the rich diversity of all life. We will explore our values and build an awareness of our human responsibility and  interconnectedness with one another and the entire planet.

Thomas Berry, author of The Great Work, tells us: "The story of the universe is now being told as the epic store of evolution.  We begin to understand our human identity with all the other modes of existence that constitute with us the single universe community.  The one story includes us all.  Every being is intimately present to and immediately influencing every other being.  What happens to the nonhuman happens to the human.  What happens to the outer world happens to the inner world.  If the outer world is diminished in its grandeur then the life of the human is diminished."

Together we will open to conscious awareness of our personal responsibility to do our part to help create a more peaceful and compassionate world and a sustainable global society.

Please join us every week for an hour of inspiration, music, message and meditation.  Everyone is invited and included.

Come as you are.  As you are is perfect.

In addition to Sundays at The Chapel there are many opportunities at Common Ground each week to grow in awareness.  Be sure to check out our busy calendar for the most up-to-date listing.
Common Ground is founded on the idea of embracing humanity ~ our own and that of others.  We endeavor to serve and empower the local and global community,  to actively support efforts toward creating a sustainable planet, and to grow as individuals toward a healthy lifestyle ~ body, mind and spirit.

We are creative, innovative, and contemporary in our approach to learning and demonstrating practices to support us in navigating through the complexities of day-to-day life; including meditation, personal growth, and exploration of wisdom traditions

Please check us out to see if we are a fit for your spiritual journey.
