Keeping a True Lent
40 Days of Transformation

Please join us for our Ash Wednesday Service focusing on release, renewal and growth.
 
The evening will include an invitation to consider setting aside a 40-day time period to focus on becoming aware of and changing perceptions around those things that no longer serve the highest good. 
 
This will be a time to set an intention to keep a 'true Lent' through giving up unskillful habits, thoughts, or ways of being in the world. 
 
There will be an opportunity to privately name the 'things' that get in the way and then make a commitment to work toward a fundamental change through a symbolic ceremony of fire and ashes.
 
You will receive a gift of organic non-GMO vegetable seeds.  You will be invited to symbolically plant seeds of new thoughts and ways of being.  With care and intention you can watch them grow and prosper.  
 
This experience is designed for those who are spiritually independent and open to spirituality without borders.

Please join The Revs for this two-hour workshop geared toward cultivating a better understanding of the many ways the One 'God' is experienced at different times in our lives, in different situations, and in various religions.  
 
This is a powerful workshop that will help explain some of what is going on in the world today.  Helen Keller says: "The highest result of education is tolerance."  Become informed.
 
Plan to attend immediately following the Valentine's Day Potluck Lunch at The Chapel.

Common Ground is starting off the year with renewed vigor and passionate purpose.

Our recent survey and community chat session brought forward many exciting ideas and suggestions for growth, refinement and forward movement.  You spoke.  The Revs listened.  New things are on the horizon.

You asked for an earlier service on Sundays.  The answer is 'yes'.  Services at The Chapel will now begin at 11:00 am.  

You asked for more workshops, celebrations, ritual, music, speakers and opportunities to gather in spiritual community.  The answer is 'yes'.  Already the February calendar shows increased activity and events.  

The Christian religion celebrates Ash Wednesday this month. This practice is an opportunity for Common Ground to explore what it looks like to Keep a True Lent.  Join us for our version of Ash Wednesday ~ Release, Renewal and Growth.  Make a 40-day commitment to transform habits and thoughts that are no longer serving you.  

This is an exciting time at Common Ground.  Many new things are coming up.  Stay tuned.

This is an open event.  Affordable tickets for various services and lunch are available on site.

Plan to help spiff up The Chapel in preparation for all of the exciting spring events that will be taking place at Common Ground.  

Mops,cloths, and Spic-and-Span will be provided.  We need your talent.  If you are able and have the desire to do light housework, there is a task for you. 

If you are able and willing to provide loving encouragement and armchair suggestions, there is a task for you.  

Everyone is invited and included.

Set aside an hour or so.  Bring your lunch. Join the fun in spiritual community.
