The theme for October's Sunday Inspirational Talks at The Chapel will be "Coming Home to Who We Are" based on David Richo's book of the same title. Each week Reverend Glenda and Reverend Judy will help us explore the idea that we can cultivate the courage to open to whatever arises in our lives and trust that we humans are inherently pure goodness, consciousness, and love.

ORANGE COUNTY STAND DOWN VETERAN RESOURCES EXPO
The Mission of this project is to help United States Veterans who are homeless, displaced, disabled or otherwise in transition become integrated into the community by providing them a continuum of opportunities.
Common Ground will be serving at the 2015 Orange County Stand Down Resource Expo on Friday, October 23, from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm. All those interested in joining our team are invited to contact Reverend Stacie Buda. stacie@embracehumanity.com

WALKING SHIELD AMERICAN INDIAN SOCIETY BACKPACK PROGRAM
|
The Mission of this program is to improve the quality of life for American Indian families by coordinating programs that provide shelter, healthcare, community development support, educational assistance, and humanitarian aid.
Walking Shield believes that education is a pathway out of poverty. In partnership with Walking Shield, Common Ground will sponsor backpacks and school supplies for children age 5 to 18 living on reservations in California and other western states.
