FORGIVE FOR GOOD
Holding a Grudge is Hazardous to Your Health and Happiness
During the month of MARCH Reverend
Glenda and Reverend Judy invite us to join them on a journey of stepping into the divine qualities of the Spring season ~ rebirth, renewal and release.
This is the time of Mardi Gras, the Lenten Season, and the Vernal Equinox ~ the first day of spring.
It is also a time of releasing what no longer serves us so that we can live our best lives in wholeness ~ with enthusiasm, vitality and a sense of well-being.
For many people, key factors that often get in the way of living life well are tendencies to carry grievances and resentments rather than allowing them to settle into a place of peace.
Forgiveness is the answer. Learning to forgive is good for our health and well-being ~ good for mental health, and physical health.
Cultivating the capacity to forgive is not only good for our minds and bodies, but, it is good for our relationships, and good for the whole world.
Forgiveness is a form of spiritual practice that is a balm for hurt and angry feelings. When we learn to relinquish our grudges we open to the possibility of being more caring, more hopeful, more compassionate, less judgmental, more accepting, and more loving.
Forgiveness is a natural expression of being human. It exists within the deepest part of all of us. It just requires practice to perfect. While it may not come easily in some circumstances, cultivating the practice of forgiveness is well worth the effort.
This is an essential topic for the complexities of the world today. Please join us every Sunday in March as we explore ways to uncover the parts of ourselves where forgiveness may be hidden.
Common Ground is an open accepting spiritual community where everyone is welcome.
Please join us each Sunday at 10:30 am.

SOUL SUNDAY
Digging Deep
During service on Sunday, March 16, using the format of the popular Super Soul Sunday series featuring interviews between Oprah Winfrey and prominent guests, Common Ground will present its own version of Soul Sunday featuring a conversation between The Revs and a 'normal person' from the local community.
Together they will explore topics and issues including but not limited to forgiveness, bullying, near death experience, and conscious living.
Soul Sunday highlights the life of an everyday person who is 'walking the talk' and expressing divinity within the human activities of life.
March's Soul Sunday surprise guest brings a rich perspective to the discussion. The following clues may help discover who the guest will be:
Born 1966
Celebrated the last birthday at Release the Bats
Political view: Oneness and Equality
Favorite country: Italy
Loves the movie, Somewhere in Time
Is a 'tragic romantic'
Loves pomegranates
Celebrates Day of the Dead at Hollywood Forever Cemetery
Has a cat named Sheba
Recent quote:
"An ENLIGHTENED SENSE OF HAPPINESS is not the result of having only a peaceful, undisturbed life, without severe challenges, betrayals, abuse, and pain along the way. Enlightened Happiness is the result of knowing all of these realities, sometimes experiencing them in the harshest possible ways, and yet still believing in the ultimate beauty of life and the possibilities of love along the way."
Mark your calendar now. Join us at Common Ground on Sunday, March 16, at 10:30 am.

Q&A WITH THE REVS
Open Forum
Since relocation to Golden Circle, Common Ground has experienced rapid growth and a dynamic increase in attendance at both the Sunday Inspirational Services and the many classes and workshops being offered.
Reverend Glenda and Reverend Judy are sensitive to the reality that growth is awesome and at the same time brings challenges, especially in getting to know everyone on a personal basis.
On Sunday, March 30, The Revs will host an open forum at 12 noon to provide an opportunity for the spiritual community to chat with them in a casual setting and to ask questions.
The following description from Common Ground's informational brochure is a good starting point for those who are new to the community or are unfamiliar with The Revs.
Reverend Judy DePrete and Reverend Glenda Knox co-founded Common Ground in November 2004 after many years of friendship and deep soul connection.
Together they carry a wealth of experience and strength. Both have solid backgrounds and credentials with The Association of Unity Churches. Each of them holds a Religious Studies Degree from Emerson Theological Institute and each is a licensed and ordained minister.
As visionaries and inspirational leaders, they are fully capable of functioning singly; yet, choose to function as a finely tuned team, allowing them to express unique and individual styles within the framework of an integrated and balanced whole.
They are resourceful and willing to experiment with the novel. They are practical yet open to complex solutions, including advanced technology and innovative approaches.
They are open, authentic, transparent and emotionally above-board. They put themselves on the line and take full responsibility for the forward movement of Common Ground.
They easily shift into awe, reverence and humility. When in their presence there is a sense of wonder and playful delight with all of life. It is clear they are having fun and at the same time they demonstrate a depth of spiritual awareness that comes from an inner-directed core.
Everyone is invited to participate in the Q&A session.
