Dear Friends,
Would you like to see something inspiring?
Moran Samuel, a physically disabled Israeli athlete, recently won first prize in an athletic contest in Italy. Everyone was waiting for the organizers to do what they are supposed to do: play Israel's national anthem on a loudspeaker. The only problem is that they didn't have - or couldn't locate -- the correct sound file! Did this bother Moran? Did this unnerve her? Did she shrug it off? Did she let it go? (What would you have done?)
See for yourself. Click here to see a truly inspiring video. (You may need to scroll down a bit to get to the video. You don't need to be able to read Hebrew to appreciate this.)
Speaking of Hatikvah, I'll be leading a study session on the origins of Hatikvah at our Shavuot Tikkun on Saturday evening, May 26th. Mark your calendars!
In the meantime, Shabbat shalom!
