CAUSE MARKETING TODAY

March 2016

Influencer marketing - targeting individuals who have influence over potential buyers - is the latest trend in brands' endless quest to authentically engage consumers. What began with bloggers as online influencers has now spread to YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Vine and SnapChat stars with impressive results for brands and causes alike.

For example, to spread its environmentally conscious message, Boxed Water teamed up with influencers and the National Forest Foundation to launch a cause/influencer campaign. For every Instagram post that promoted Boxed Water with the hashtag #ReTree, the company pledged to plant two trees in national forests.

Over the three month campaign, Boxed Water teamed up with actors and YouTube stars to spread the campaign, resulting in 73,630 trees planted and the Boxed Water brand spread far and wide.

Want to learn more about influencer marketing as it relates to cause? You're in luck! We have a fantastic keynote session at this year's Cause Marketing Forum conference. Here are a few of the participants (click here or the image below to see a short video):

If you've ever worked for a nonprofit organization, you won't be surprised to hear that corporate partnership teams are complex, diverse - and even a little messy!

Creating the right corporate partnership team structure isn't easy, but it IS possible and is absolutely essential to your success.

This webinar will give you an inside look at two top corporate development organizations - DonorsChoose.org and No Kid Hungry - and how they have effectively (but distinctly) pieced together the talent management puzzle to achieve organizational success and better serve corporate partners.

Hear from DonorsChoose.org's Missy Sherburne and No Kid Hungry's Laura Goodman as they share:
  • Pros and cons of different corporate team structures (e.g. geographic/subject matter expertise)
  • How to manage a wide range of age groups from millennials to boomers
  • The blunt truth about talent management (if you love them, set them free?)
  • Tips on creating 'stretch opportunities' to test and develop top internal leaders
