CAUSE MARKETING TODAY

May 2014

North American consumers aren't the only ones demanding increased social responsibility from companies. We recently tapped a team of international contributors to bring you cause-related inspiration from around the world. Fascinating case examples captured in our Global Voices series (generously sponsored by Public Interest Registry) include:

Consumers in Australia successfully taking to social media to lobby the country's two largest supermarket chains to carry products like bottled water and muesli from social enterprise company Thankyou. Contributor Carolyn Butler Madden has the story here.

Register round-up programs in Brazil organized by a centralized, national organization called Instituto Arredondar (Rounding-Up Institute). The organization will help 20 retailers centralize details from operational logistics to employee training. Contributors Paula Piccin and Andrea Peçanha Travassos explain more in this post.

An Indian travel website attempting to offset the carbon footprint of its customers has encouraged almost 73,000 donors to contribute funds to plant a sapling when booking their travel. Contributor Namit Agarwal provides a look at this program from MakeMyTrip.com.

We'll be discussing how good goes global with a panel moderated by Public Interest Registry CEO Brian Cute and featuring global do-gooders Mars and Western Union at the 2014 Cause Marketing Forum two weeks from today. There's still time to register!
