Meeting Date Change 

In 2016 The York County Planning Commission will be changing their meeting dates to the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7pm they will now be held at the York County 911 Center, 911 Center Avenue, York, PA  17403.  The meeting dates are as follows:

Planning Information Exchange (PIE) Webinar

In cooperation with the American Planning Association (APA), the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM) presents the third Planning Information Exchange (PIE) webinar. PIE is a free eight-part quarterly webinar series focusing on tools, best practices, and strategies on the role of hazard mitigation planning and its connections with recovery planning and preparedness.

"Good for You, Good for All"

DCNR and the Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society invite all Pennsylvanians to visit the newly released website  The website features a new interactive map where you can search for local parks by name or by county, view aerial photographs of the facility, and review a list of amenities available at each park.   Local park providers are invited to check out the website and confirm your community's local parks and features are listed.   
The York County Commissioners recently approved a proposal to expand its Home Improvement Program to include a grant program.  The grant program provides resident homeowners who qualify with up to  $5,000 for qualifying repairs to their homes with no requirement of security.  Applicants must be 55 and older, handicapped or disabled and meet income guidelines.  For more information on the York County Home Improvement Loan and Grant Programs, please call Kim Walston at (717) 764-8642 or e-mail

The Flood Insurance Rate Maps for York County, PA have been revised.  Just a reminder that on December 16, 2015 the new maps will become the official maps that are used to determine if a property is within a flood hazard area and updated flood plain ordinances will take effect . To visualize the current and new flood hazard zones, please visit the Flood Mapping Application.  If you have additional questions please contact the York County Planning Commission.
