County's 2016 Annual Action Plan
|
The Housing and Community Development Division of the York County Planning Commission is currently in the process of preparing the County's 2016 Annual Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnership Act (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Programs. The Annual Action Plan will set forth anticipated funding, plus a list of projects/activities that the County proposes to fund with the grant monies.
All proposed projects/activities must be consistent with the goals and objectives set forth in the County's FY 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan in an effort to meet identified housing and community development needs. You are invited to participate in the following public hearing at which information on the anticipated funding and proposed projects/activities will be presented:

All citizens of York County, as well as representatives of municipalities and public service agencies, are urged to participate in the meetings. Public input is an essential component of the County's Consolidated Planning effort.

New Flood Maps Becoming Effective on December 16, 2015
Municipalities in York County need to adopt a floodplain management ordinance that is compliant to the new flood maps by this date. Any questions can be directed to the York County Planning Commission (717-771-9870)

York County Home Improvement Program
|
The County's Home Improvement Program (HIP) is looking for qualified applicants to participate. The program is a zero interest deferred loan program designed to help income eligible resident homeowners in York County by providing financial and technical assistance for home repairs including, but not limited to, roofing, windows, plumbing, heating, electrical, sidewalks, septic and water/sewer hookups. National Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Emergency Responder Training
|
The National TIM Responder Training Program was developed by responders, and was designated to establish the foundation for and promote consistent training of all responders to achieve the three objectives of the TIM National Unified Goal (NUG):
- Responder Safety
- Safe, Quick Clearance
- Prompt, Reliable, Interoperable Communications
This unique, multidisciplinary training promotes a shared understanding of the requirements for safe, quick clearance at traffic incident scenes; prompt reliable and open communications; and motorist and responder safeguards. Better incident response can cut incident response time in half.

- Notification & Scene Size-UP
- Safe Vehicle Positioning
- Scene Safety
- Command Responsibilities
- Traffic Management
- Special Circumstances
- Clearance & Termination

Clean water today for a better tomorrow!
Come to the Dover Township Wastewater Treatment Facility OPEN HOUSE on Tuesday September 22, 2015 from 3pm to 7pm.
Take a guided tour of the facility. Tours will be available throughout the evening.
Browse the various exhibits explaining the water pollution control process and its importance in our community.
Take advantage of the other educational displays. See our robotic camera inspect sewer pipes.
This is a good opportunity to see practical applications of sciences, especially microbiology, physics, and chemistry.
This regional facility processes wastewater from Conewago, Dover, Manchester, and West Manchester Townships. The facility has completed a $12 million renovation to meet the requirements of the Chesapeake Bay Tributary Strategy, making our clean water even cleaner.
