The York County Planning Commission staff is in the process of preparing the County's 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnership (HOME) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) programs. The Consolidated Plan will identify housing and community development needs.
In addition, the staff has been preparing a proposed 2015, 2016, 2017 Three Year Project Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) programs. The project plan lists the CDBG and ESG grant amounts that the County anticipates receiving in each year. Proposed activities to be undertaken by townships and boroughs, local non-profit agencies, and County departments in each year are listed. The types of projects include municipal and county planning, assistance for homeowners and first time homebuyers, municipal public works, non-profit housing and community facilities, non-profit services for low and moderate income persons, emergency shelters for the homeless, and rental assistance to help low income families avoid homelessness. The activities proposed in the Three Year Project Plan are included in each year's Annual Action Plan, starting with the 2015 Annual Action Plan.
All citizens of York County, public service agencies, municipalities, elected officials, representatives of surrounding communities, housing agencies, shelter representatives, and homeless and/or previously homeless people are invited, and urged, to attend a PUBLIC MEETING Thursday, August 21 at 6:00 PM at the County's 911 Center, 120 Davies Drive, York, PA 17402.
