MSC - Spreading the Word

GA_photo The Ministerial Search Committee is excited to announce that starting in July, all Members and Friends of UUCA will have an opportunity to complete our MSC congregational survey. In order to encourage as much participation as possible, we will be sending you a paper copy in the mail as well as sending you an e-mail that allows you to take the survey online.Your completion of the survey will support the MSC's responsibility to provide both quantitative and qualitative information to candidates about our congregation.

This week, MSC members Warren Wright, who chairs the committee, and Bill Fogarty are in Louisville, K.Y., attending the annual General Assembly of the Unitarian Universalist Association. They expect to gain valuable information from other congregations relative to our search. To spread the word, they and UUCA's delegation will be wearing "In Search" t-shirts. Read more.
Sunday Service - June 23, 10:15am
sermon
Rev.Montgomery_photo "Standing on the Side of Love: Keeping One Hand in the Fire"
With Rev. Rebekah Montgomery, UU minister and military chaplain. The 16th century Unitarian preacher and theologian Frances David famously penned, "You need not think alike to love alike." As UU's, we have come together under our first principle to respect and promote the inherent worth and dignity of every person and we strive to implement our beliefs into our faith walk. In this sermon, we will explore bringing that radical love for all into our lives, as we walk with our UU brothers and sisters and learn about the Standing on the Side of Love Campaign.

Church Matters Matters
One-on-One Relational Meetings

AlexRoth_photo Our less active summer season is an opportunity to have one-on-one relational meetings with other church members.  These are intentional one-hour conversations to share stories and values.  They are a way to get to know someone more deeply and to explore what really matters to both of you.

Please do not hesitate to contact any Board member if you would like to have a one-on-one relational meeting with him or her.  The members of the Board for the 2013-14 Church year are John Bohman, Steve Brannon, Wendy Jessup, Ken Marshall, David McTaggart, Gretchen Menn, Mary Pike, Juliet Purll, and Alex Roth (click here for photos and emails)
