MME MEMBER FEATURE

Erin Hobbs, MME President 2013-15

Occupation: Newburyport High School - Science Teacher, Granite State College - Adjunct Faculty

MME member since: 2002

Favorite marine topic: Marine fisheries and sustainability - my graduate research focused on the Gulf of Maine fishery

Best MME memoryTrying to film the NMEA conference video "N.M.E.A". We spent time at the New Bedford Whaling Museum and the video ended up getting lost! I enjoy every time I get together with my MME peeps. This group has kept me inspired to be a better teacher and strive for the best. I find great value in the camaraderie within the group and the willingness of everyone to help improve marine science education.
