Mary Jo Conway
Life Skills Specialist
MaryJo started her career at Giant Steps in 2001. She is truly dedicated to the success of all of the students at Giant Steps. She always "thinks outside the box" when she is developing activities for the students in her sessions. And she always plays to the student's strengths. For example, she had a student, who loves to draw, make portraits of all of the therapists in the Elementary Intermediate Therapy office to be used as nametags above each therapist's desk.
MaryJo also tries to include students' families as much as possible. She regularly helps with family centered events at Giant Steps, such as Elementary Family Fun Night. She also used this as an opportunity to include students in the planning the event by having students make decorations.
