Battle of the Books Champions

Congratulations to Sachem Public Library who came back Monday night August 11th to win the 2014 Battle of the Books. They showed off their knowledge of the eight titles and rose to the top. The team was presented with the newly inscribed plaque the following Monday in front of their library board. Everyone who attended the meeting, including their parents and siblings, were incredibly proud of the team. Congratulations also goes to Babylon, Hauppauge, Huntington and Emma S. Clark who competed on the final night of Battle. The coach wrap up meeting will be held at SCLS on September 5th at 10AM.

"I matter" @ Commack

Don't forget to take a look at the Kickstarter campaign for Commack's "I matter" Project here. You can donate on the site or if you see their teens (pictured above) out and about in the neighborhood drop some money in their amazing modified shopping cart. There is a TV attached that shows their "I matter" movie! Definitely impressive!
