Escondido Business Update - August 2013
Coming Soon to Grand Avenue

Plan 9 alehouse

Just in time for the dog days of summer, Plan 9 Alehouse will soon open up in the former Theatrx space at 155 E. Grand.

With a cool, roll-up garage door fronting the space, it's going to be one of the best spots in town to sip a local craft beer and do some Downtown people watching.

Sign Code Change
Feather Flags & Temporary Portable Signs No Longer Permittedfeather flags

Last year, the City Council adopted provisions with a sunset clause that allowed feather flags and temporary portable signs for a trial period of one year. These sign provisions expired in June 2013.

The City is providing a period within which business owners must discontinue the use of these temporary/portable signs.

All feather flags and temporary portable signs must be removed from display by September 1, 2013 except those flags/signs displaying a special event sign permit sticker. Questions regarding this code change should be directed to City Code Enforcement (760) 839-4650
