Escondido is Proud to Host the Tour's Overall Race Start on May 12, 2013.The AMGEN Tour of California, "America's Greatest Race," is coming back to Escondido! For the first time, the Tour will start in Southern California, with Escondido as the only San Diego County city to host a stage. For those who witnessed the Tour when it finished in Escondido in 2009, you know how thrilling it was - for those who did not, get ready for an amazing experience.
