Tour de Bike Barn - Sunday, July 12th

Join us on Sunday, July 12th at 7:30am for a beautiful ride along Galveston Bay as we host our annual Tour de Bike Barn. Riders can choose from a 40 or 60 mile route that will be starting out of our Clear Lake store. Following the ride, we will be hosting a viewing party of the exciting Stage 9 Team Time Trial. There will be plenty of food and drinks to enjoy while viewing the race from the comfort of your chair. Don't miss out on this free event and a chance to cheer on your favorite pro team alongside friends and fellow riding buddies.

Come see  some of the fastest racing in Houston this summer at the Memorial Park Crit Races. Starting at 5pm each Wednesday through the end of August. Taking place at the South Picnic Loop in Memorial Park, this is a fun and casual spectator environment that is open to all. Featuring different food trucks each week, along with Karbach Brewery providing the beverages, all you need to bring is a friend and your lawn chair to enjoy!

The 5th Annual Shadow Creek Ranch Triathlon presented by Lewis Jewelers, will be held on Sunday, July 12th. One of the region's top sprint distant multi-sport events, it features a 500 meter open water swim, 13.2 mile bike course and 3.2 mile run. Calling all ladies! Come spend an evening at the Custom Fit Studio on Thursday, July 23rd at 6:00pm. Benefit from learning easy tips and solutions to help alleviate your most common issues such as saddle, foot, and hand pain. Take part in the Summertime Blues Triathlon on Sunday, August 9th at 7:00am at The Old River in Freeport. This sprint triathlon features a 500 meter swim in a protected body of salt water, followed by a 25k bike ride with two challenging climbs, finishing with a fast and flat 5k run with a great view of The Old River at the end. Registration is $60 and includes a first class post-race breakfast for all race participants to enjoy afterwards.

Will the Pierce Elevated be Houston's first elevated bike lane? Find out more at BikeHouston's Third Thursday Hullabaloo at Onion Creek in the Heights on July 23rd from 6-8pm. Tami Merrick and Marcus Martinez from Page Architects will present their ideas and thoughts about transforming the Pierce Elevated into an elevated park and bike lane. As always, drink specials will be provided for all BikeHouston members.

 

Support the Pink Ribbons Project by riding with Team Bike Barn in this year's Tour de Pink. Taking place on Sunday, September 20th, this ride features routes for all levels of riders ranging from 12 miles up to 100 miles. This bike ride supports the ongoing effort to help provide mammograms throughout the community. Bike Barn team registration fee is $49 and includes a custom jersey. Register by July 3rd to guarantee your preferred style and sizing.


Bike Around the Bay is a fully supported two-day, 180-mile bike ride during October 17-18 around Galveston Bay that showcases the natural beauty of Galveston Bay and benefits the Galveston Bay Foundation. Now in its ninth year, Bike Around the Bay began with the goal of bringing people together from all over to see and experience Galveston Bay. This ride has fantastic support, great riding and a fun-filled evening in Galveston for the overnight so don't miss out.
