Chris Carmichael Mini-Camp

It's time to kick off the new season with new goals. Carmichael Training Systems will provide a unique camp
experience for athletes looking to take their performance to the next level. This camp is designed to pack a lot of miles into the weekend as well as focus on key cycling skills such as single and double pacelining. Athletes will also learn the importance of establishing power based training ranges utilizing the CTS field test. Free use of powertaps will be available to the first 20 participants registered. This camp is open to all cyclists, however, due to the difficultly of the camp, intermediate and advanced riders are encouraged to attend. All rides will take place just outside of Houston so athletes can return to their homes on conclusion of the day. Get details and RSVP here.

You have probably already seen the new signs on Westheimer, but our current location is moving to Westchase onFebruary 19th.  The store is just moving right down the road, but it is a world apart. A sparkling new showroom with hundreds of bikes, a Project One custom bike facility and all the same great folks you love at our current location.  The new store is located at Wilcrest and Westhemer in the Whole Foods center. Come check us out when you are in the neighborhood....

 

The Westhiemer store will be closed on February 18th for the move.

The 5th annual Bike for Little Heroes ride will take place Sunday, February 9 in Hockley, Texas off Hwy 290 and Roberts Road. Ride start is 8 a.m. and by participating you help give a special gift of a World-Class Personalized bicycle package to a child of a member of our armed forces. Registration will be available day of ride but do come early to avoid the crowd and give yourself time to start with all your friends. Bike Barn has adopted a stretch of road in Fulshear! Bois D'Arc Lane is a common thoroughfare for cyclists, and now it is our responsibility to keep it clean. We are asking all friends of Bike Barn to help. Our next clean-up day will be Sunday, February 16th at 8am. Please email Brad Swaim at [email protected] if you have any further questions. Let's show the community how much Bike Barn cares and appreciates the wonderful roads in Fulshear!

 

 

Interested in finding out more about the Tour du Rouge?Then come and join the ride director and past riders for a casual question and answer session on Tuesday, February 11 at 5:30pm at our Weslayan location. The Tour du Rouge is a six day 550 mile ride from Houston to New Orleans being held May 4th to May 9th.  It is a wonderfully supported ride that benefits the Red Cross. The support is so good, it is more of a cycling vacation than a ride. Come find out what makes this event so great. There will be refreshments and raffle prizes.  No fee to attend.

Waller Junior High School presents the 9th Annual Bulldog Bike Ride and Pancake breakfast. Following your ride, join us in the cafeteria for a pancake breakfast complete with coffee and juice served by our students. Route options: 25 miles, 32 miles and 50 miles. This is a BP MS150 recommended ride. Location: Waller Junior High School.

 Join us at our favorite Candy Shop, the Sweet Tooth Candy Shoppe, in Fulshear, for our ride on Sunday, March 16. There will be options for a 40 and 65 mile route and we will offer a rest stop. Enjoy the countryside as we explore some back roads in the area. There will be some great surprises from Sweet Tooth and a chance for you to catch up with your riding buddies! Wear your Bike Barn jersey for something extra sweet! This ride is free of charge, just let us know you plan to join, here!

 

Start your season off with the 3rd Annual No Label Triathlon complete with pizza, beer, and much more.  This year the ladies shirts are pink and the men's are royal blue, and the awards are a great new design.  This event is super fun, flat, and fast.
