LIBRARY HOURS
The Provo Library is open M-F from 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
The library will close early at 6:00 PM on December 31 for New Years Eve, and be closed on January 1 for New Years Day.
We will be closed Monday, January 20 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

LEARN IT @ YOUR LIBRARY: LEARN INFANT MASSAGE January 8

Come learn infant massage and the many benefits of it, including increased interaction, relaxation, relief, and stimulation!
Each class in this 5-week course will go over different strokes, gradually allowing your baby to adjust to your new nurturing touch. This is a hands-on class for you and your baby while the instructor demonstrates the strokes on a doll.
Mothers, please bring your baby and a blanket to lay them on. Please do not bring any older children. Massaging oil will be provided.

Saturday, January 4 10-10:30 AM | Story Room
A story time for children with special needs ages 3-5 and their parent/caregiver. Special Needs Story Time features a small class size, low sound and soft lighting environment.
Beginning in January, Special Needs Story Time will be the first Saturday of every month. Pre-register starting the Monday before the class at the Children's Desk or by calling (801) 852-6682.

 The Family Literacy Symposium is the Provo City Library's yearly celebration of reading for adults. This year's featured author is Jamie Ford, author of Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet and Songs of Willow Frost.
SYMPOSIUM EVENTS FREE tickets for the symposium will be available beginning December 28 at the First Floor Reference Desk. Keynote Address by Jamie Ford 12:00 noon | Ballroom Join bestselling author Jamie Ford as he talks about his novels Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet and Songs of Willow Frost. He will also discuss the process of writing stories that span generations. Breakout Sessions 1:00 - 3:00 pm Provo City Library staff will highlight the best books from 2013 for children, young adults, and adults. Panel Discussion: Best Book Club Books with Jamie Ford 3:10 pm - 4:00 pm | Ballroom This panel discussion will offer suggestions for making your book club a success, from choosing great material to finding meaningful discussion topics. AUTHOR BRUNCH WITH JAMIE FORD 10:00 am $25 per ticket Tickets are limited and will be available for purchase beginning December 28 at the First Floor Reference Desk. Each ticket includes a signed copy of Jamie Ford's latest book, Songs of Willow Frost.

The Provo City Library is excited to announce the addition of a gallery space on the fourth floor of the Academy Building, The Attic at Academy Square. Come celebrate with us at the Provo Library Family Art Festival on Monday, February 3, 2014 at
7:00 PM in the Library Ballroom. There will be activities and fun for the whole family!
The gallery will officially open to the public on February 6, 2014 at 4:00 PM. The first exhibit will be The Original Art: Celebrating the Fine Art of Children's Books from the Society of Illustrators. Don't miss your chance to see original pieces from the year's best children's books and to make your own piece of art to take home!
