The Provo Library is delighted to host the #1 New York Times bestselling and award-winning author, Brandon Sanderson, as he introduces his debut novel for a young adult audience: The Rithmatist. Join us for this amazing event!
Brandon will speak, and then will sign copies of his books. Personalized signatures are limited to three per person, but there are no restrictions on signatures only.
Tickets are required for admission, and are now available at the Adult Reference Desk. Tickets are free; limit four per person. (Those who are unable to obtain tickets are welcome to join our Stand-by Line on the night of the event.)
Copies of The Rithmatist along with others of Sanderson's books will be available for sale at the event, courtesy of The King's English Bookshop.

The Digital Bookmobile National Tour
Thursday, June 6 12:00 noon - 6:00 pm New Provo Recreation Center (parking lot) 222 West 500 North Book lovers of all ages will learn how to download eBooks from the library through interactive demonstrations and high-definition instructional videos. The Digital Bookmobile is housed inside an 18-wheel trailer full of high-tech equipment to help patrons explore the library's eBook collection. This free event is one day only, so don't miss it. Kids' Summer Programs
Summer Make and Take Crafts
June 4 - July 25
Tuesdays & Thursdays, any time between 10 am - 12 noon.
Free crafts for children ages 0 - 12 in the Young Special Events Room, #201. Families must have a Provo City Library card or registered Orem Public Library card. Children must be accompanied by an adult. One craft per child.
Summer Toddler Time
June 5 - July 17
Every Wednesday from 10 - 10:30 am and 11 - 11:30 am in the Story Circle.
Songs, stories, and a puppet show for toddlers and their parents/caregivers.
Canopy Capers
June 4 - July 25
Every Tuesday & Thursday at 12 noon.
Bring your lunch and listen to stories outside under a canopy on the southeast lawn of the library.
Summer Spanish Story Time
June 3 - July 22
Every Monday from 7 - 7:30 pm in the Story Circle.
Songs, stories, and a puppet show in Spanish for families.

Teen Summer Activities
Teen Volunteer Board Wednesday, June 5 3:30 pm Young Special Events Room, #201 Meet the first Wednesday each month, September through June. Volunteers will work on projects, followed by snacks, socializing and playing games. Library Lock-in Thursday, June 13 7:00 - 11:00 pm Library Ballroom Teens, get locked in the library! Snacks, crafts, board games, Wii games, and a service project for the Children's Department. A parent signed permission slip is required. The Great Egg Drop Wednesday, June 26 3:00 - 5:00 pm Young Special Events Room, #201 Come create an egg holder using anything you can find! Then there will be a contest to see whose egg survives a drop! |
