The Birth of Jesus was no accident. In fact over 300 scriptures prophecied about this moment in history and the life of Christ. The wise men are an interesting testimony to the narrative of the birth of Christ. They had no cultural or religious obligations to seek out Christ. They were not Jewish and they lived far away in another land. Despite this they chose to seek out Jesus. They used their resources, time and energy to intentionally seek out and worship Jesus Christ. It was a journey that some historians say was up to two years in the making. Jesus was not a matter of convenience for these men of influence, but Jesus was the desire of their worship. In our lives, may we too be as these wise men and seek out Jesus with the intentionality of our worship and faith. Seeking Jesus is always a personal decision that God has afforded each of us to make. Jesus truly is the CHRIST in CHRISTmas.
