Courage: it takes creativity and fearlessness to adventure into our heart's deepest desires, also to release bad habits or try something new. 

This week's edition and feature article, as well as yoga classes this week, will help you find the courage to make those changes and achieve the body, mind and spirit that you want. 

For yoga, we will be working with balancing energy with poses to activate and strengthen the lower nerve plexus-the area below the navel that houses our digestive organs, including the "gut" we're so often told to follow-we can move vital energy up into the heart, making us feel more courageous and confident. Meditation will help you rediscover who you truly are and support what you pursue. See more in Yoga this Week below!

Boot Campers with a Courageous Roar!

Don't miss out on the camaraderie and personal accomplishment of getting in the action with my June Boot Camps. You can choose one, two or three camps and you don't need to be a client or yoga student to take advantage of this outdoor adventure. If you have questions about what it takes to do camp, don't hesitate to call me at 630-584-2254. It's great for all levels and I've had campers from teens to in the 60s and lots of mothers and daughters, sisters and friends. It's just a great time challenging yourself to be your personal best. Watch the camp video and see the fitness fun! When you try something new and overcome fears, that's where the real confidence to conquer other aspects of your life takes root. 

Speaking of courage, it certainly takes courage to start a new fitness or dietary plan. It takes wisdom and control. So this week's feature will explain the science behind controlling hunger.

Control Bad Habits and Hunger Courageously 
Learning to control hunger pains may be necessary in order to lose weight consistently. Hunger is our body's natural way of telling us we need energy and nutrients. It can also be a habitual reponse or a stress response. Hunger pains can cause an overwhelming desire for food, however hunger cannot give us any indication of the amount of energy consumed....   


YOGA THIS WEEK with JACKIE!
Spiritual Practice:  Whether you want to fine-tune the goals you already have, or rediscover who you really are, this week's spiritual practice will help you stay the course when distractions inevitably rise or old habits tempt. Get courage to make long-lasting change with courage-encouraging breathworth, mantras and more.

Physical Practice:  Join Jackie for an uplifting practice that will provide balance to your body and mind as it strengthens your body.
