The "climate" that we are in as Americans can lead us to feel a bit uncertain these days.  Turmoil from world events and our own Presidential race can make us feel that much in life is uncertain and we can feel surprised at conflicts we encounter with others' opinions.  

In addition, unusual weather changes and even getting back into the swing of work after time off can make us feel unsettled.   However, uncomfortable feelings and unsure ground can be the best places for transformation and real growth.

Ride the Water Wave to Better Health

When properly hydrated, about two-thirds of your body is water. Muscle tissue is even higher, at around 70 percent, while fat is less. Muscle powers your body and fat protects it. Put two and two together and you may surmise that water is vital to the things that make your body function or you will suffer from dehydration or at the very least your performance will suffer and you just won't feel well.  It isn't too surprising if it's low on a nutrient that makes up 65 percent of it!   

If you are dehydrated, you may feel hungry instead of thirsty.  If you are over 50, you might not register dehydration like you should.  In addition, your body does not process water once you hydrate either.  

As you exercise, you need to replenish more for sports, but how much?  You don't necessarily need to drink 65 percent of your weight in water daily. Fruits and veggies lead the group of water-rich foods and contain around 95 percent water. If you eat a lot of plants, you can drink less water.  Keep in mind though, that when we cook veggies, they lose their water. This means, the more whole raw foods you eat, the less water you need to drink. There is more to hydration than just your water levels, though. Water reacts with chemicals in your body in order to function...
